STYLE
🌶️🌶️ Medium | Red Rocks can be pretty cushy camping or staying in an Airbnb. the routes can be as relaxed and easy as you want all the way to massive 20+ hour days
THE WILD
For being so close to Las Vegas, Red Rocks can still feel incredibly peaceful. One of our favorite parts is that very dichotomy… using the Luxor light to point the direction across the dark night desert.
JOURNEY
Days: 4-7 | Group: 2 - 6
Sept - Dec & Mar - April
Minimum Age: 16
Maybe the single best climbing destination in the country for long moderate multi-pitch climbing.
We only offer multi-day trips for small custom groups of 2 - 6 people for 4 - 7 days. All of our guides know the area like the back of their hand, have climbed there for years and can show you the magic of the place. The flavor of the adventure is up to you: camp or stay in a nice Airbnb nearby; go big every day on long adventurous multi-pitches or crag for the day. We keep the ratio at 2:1 so we have all options open to us. And we only use senior guides for these trips so you’ll be in the best hands possible.
Example Routes
Epinephrine 5.9 The iconic Red Rocks adventure. Endless chimneys, huge exposure, big day. Every trad climber should do it once.
Crimson Chrysalis 5.8+ Perfect varnished face climbing, huge exposure, classic position. Probably the most famous moderate multipitch in the canyon.
Johnny Vegas → Solar Slab 5.7 Nearly 2,000 feet of climbing if linked properly. Feels alpine despite being close to Vegas.
Prince of Darkness 5.10 One of the best moderate 5.10s anywhere. Incredible varnished face climbing.
Dream of Wild Turkeys 5.10a Sustained, varied, and very Red Rocks. Often considered a rite of passage into harder multipitch.
Black Orpheus 5.9 Long approach keeps crowds down. Beautiful position and excellent climbing.
Sour Mash 5.10a One of the best "first Red Rocks 5.10s." Technical and varied.

“Jack is a world-class guide. Every detail was dialed, every decision inspired confidence, and the day felt like a true adventure rather than a guided trip.”
“I’ve climbed with guides from Yosemite to Patagonia, and this was hands down the best climbing day I’ve ever had. Professional, calm, wildly knowledgeable, and just so much fun.”
“If you only hire one climbing guide in Red Rocks, make it this one. Incredible route selection, expert instruction, and one of the most memorable days I’ve ever had in the mountains.”

We always encourage folks to purchase trip cancelation insurance in addition to the mandatory medical evacuation insurance. We require that you have at least $200,000 in medical evacuation insurance. Your insurance policy should cover hazardous sports and we recommend that your policy cover search and rescue. Since we cannot confirm each client’s policy individually, it is your responsibility to make sure your policy will cover you while you participate in your activities of choice on the expedition.
For US citizens, we recommend Global Rescue. You will have a choice of purchasing it with or without the cancellation coverage–so make sure to select the one that gives you the coverage that you need. Other commonly used companies include World Nomads and Squaremouth.
You are welcome to seek out other insurance options, as these are only recommendations. When selecting a policy, please make sure they insure all the activities you’ll be participating in (many don’t include roped climbing, skiing, mountaineering, etc).
